White Eyes

Level:

"White Eye'' is an Academy Award-nominated film by Israeli filmmaker Tomer Shushan. The film addresses the prejudice of Israelis against nonwhite inhabitants, especially immigrants or refugees. The film was produced in 2019, produced in Israel and is 20 minutes long.

Shushan draws from personal experiences as a Moroccan Jew and highlights the abuse and harassment by police on Eritreans and Sudanese people living in Israel. The film's title is an implication that Israelis turn a blind eye to the racial bias throughout their country.
