Rethinking Refugees is a global initiative to create awareness around migration and refugees. We closely work with refugees, asylum seekers, and relevant stakeholders worldwide to better refugee lives.

The crux of this humanitarian crisis lies in education, and our primary work focuses on public education that is holistic, scientific, and current.

We achieve this through workshops, lectures, open dialogue with refugees, film screenings, webinars, and charity events.

Rethinking Refugees was founded in June 2018 in Kraków, Poland, by Dr. Sindhuja Sankaran, a social psychologist.

As a result, over 15 live events in Kraków were organised in 1.5 years in no time. As the pandemic hit in 2020, Rethinking Refugees became digital and took on a global stage, with about 20 webinars and online workshops being organised.

Now, the team, all voluntary based, boasts of 20 people worldwide.
