Annika Wrona

Annika Wrona is a Mainz, Germany, student who started volunteering with Rethinking Refugees during her Erasmus studies in Krakow, Poland. In Germany, she has volunteered since 2018 as a teacher for children who fled Afghanistan. It brings her much joy to have a little positive impact on their daily lives.

She did her Bachelor's in Sociology and Media Studies. Her studies mainly focused on global phenomena of any kind and national and international reactions and approaches. In her thesis, she did empirical research about realities and ideologies in an antifeminist online subculture.

Writing for Rethinking Refugees combines her journalist interest with the hope of reaching people and raising awareness about topics like migration, integration, and individual pathways.
